MALVERN MEMORIES
REVISITED

When Malvern headteacher Mr James approached author and former pupil Mark Campbell about the possibility of producing an updated version of Malvern Memories, Mark jumped at the opportunity - it has, after all, been 17 years since the original book was published. With the school's support, Mark and former assistant head Mr Kynaston met soon after to discuss the way forward - Malvern Memories (Revisited) is the result.

This book focuses upon Malvern's magnificent history and includes hundreds of previously unseen photos from throughout the school's 70-odd years of existence. It is hoped that Malvern Memories (Revisited) will help former pupils to cast their minds back to their own schooldays and give current pupils a sense of pride in belonging to this excellent place of learning.

HUYTON'S TITANS

Author Mark Campbell's passion for football can be traced back to the endless hours spent playing with his mates in the streets and parks of Huyton. The amazing success of the Huyton Boy's 'Team of '71' heightened his love of the game and he was delighted when he represented the Schoolboys side at every age group.

After enjoying a successful amateur career as both a player and manager, Mark turned his attention to writing.

Following a casual Monday morning conversation about the weekend's footy, he set about trying to celebrate in print his area's footballing past, present and future.

Huyton's Titans is the result.
